Action For Sport is delighted to welcome SportsShoes.com as a partner of our School Partnership Programme.
We’ve known the team at SportsShoes.com for some time and are really pleased to have them supporting our work as we look to help more children and young people access sport.
We have seen first-hand, many times, the difference that access to the right sportswear and equipment can make.
One example was a young person from Doncaster who had no access to suitable running equipment. SportsShoes.com donated a pair of running shoes to us, which we were able to pass on to him. He has since gone on to achieve an incredible level in his sport and recently equalled a European record.
Not every young person will go on to break a European record of course, but that isn’t the point. The physical, mental and social benefits of taking part in sport are huge, and sometimes something as simple as a pair of running shoes can give a young person the opportunity to get involved and discover what they are capable of.
SportsShoes.com share our belief in helping more people get active and supporting participation in sport, and we’re incredibly grateful to Brett Bannister, Dan Cartner and the wider team for their support.
Our School Partnership Programme is now live and growing quickly, with schools and colleges across the UK joining us.
If you would like to find out more about the programme and the benefits available to partner schools, please visit www.actionforsport.org.uk and get in touch.
A huge thank you to everyone at SportsShoes.com for supporting Action For Sport and helping us reach more young people through sport.
